Here's the video to watch back from the Fly on the Wall Press Performance group reading from Sunday 19th July. Thank you everyone for listening live and all your kind words, and to editor Isabelle Kenyon for inviting me to read.
I've started the Fill Your Books! blog of micro-interviews with writers and creatives talking about their favourite books and authors.
During lockdown, things were on pause as life demanded focus elsewhere. But now new interviews are online; each interview consists of five questions, highlighting current and past reading habits. Recent interviewees include Maureen Boyle, Glen Wilson, Tanya Farrelly, Colin Hassard and David Butler.
The blog is available at https://fillyourbooks.blogspot.com
I've taken a step back on the old poetry front during lockdown as I've been working full time, and my priority has been supporting my team. BUT the new issue of The Honest Ulsterman is out now, for which I've interviewed two poets whose debut launches were upended by the pandemic: Linda McKenna talking about her new collection In The Museum of Misremembered Things (Doire Press) and (full scale nepotism alert) Geraldine O'Kane, on her collection Unsafe (Salmon Poetry), forthcoming this summer.
The Dogs of Humanity has been shortlisted in the Best Poetry Pamphlet category for the Saboteur Awards!
Big thanks to them and my publisher Fly On The Wall Press (who are also shortlisted in the Most Innovative Publisher and Best Anthology categories).
Public voting is now open if you would like to support the pamphlet and Fly On The Wall. Thank you in advance for your vote!
